Dry early evening for most but soon turning cloudy with showers feeding from the west, with some heavy and bringing a small risk of thunder. Southeast breezes. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Friday:

Some early patchy rain, chiefly over Argyll, otherwise sunshine and a few well scattered showers, these chiefly during the afternoon, perhaps heavier later. Not as warm as Thursday. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A dry start Saturday with showers later. Rather cloudy for Sunday and Monday with some patchy rain, this focused in Argyll and to a lesser extend Glasgow.

A broad north to south split in the weather across the UK during this period. In the south it expected to be predominantly fine and dry, with spells of sunshine by day and clear spells overnight. Any rainfall that does occur will probably be light and patchy, with most places staying dry. Temperatures will likely be above normal for the time of year and it could be hot at times in the southeast. In the north, probably more changeable, especially at first. Here, conditions are expected to be cloudier with some unsettled spells of weather at times, bringing some rain and perhaps strong winds. Temperatures are expected to be close to normal or slightly above.

A good deal of dry weather across the UK at first, but becoming more changeable at the start of this period with an increasing likelihood of showers or some longer spells of rain. This pattern continues through early July with changeable conditions bringing a mix of fine and dry periods and some outbreak of rain or showers, which could be heavy and thundery at times. Temperatures are likely to be above average.
